The Blurb

Or purchase via the Scott Martin Productions website.

A funky and cute new book of 4 collected novelettes by Meredith Schumann. ‘Divine Intervention’, ‘No Matter What’, ‘Changes’ and ‘Walking With Eve’ are combined, and a few copies still exist if you’d prefer to purchase separately. See below.

The Originals

Divine Intervention

This book was originally conceived as a short comic novel with the working title ‘The Alpha Twin’ – but the author soon realised that her interests lay more within the perceived role of creator than in the created twin subjects. So, ‘Divine Intervention’ was born.  This novelette is a tongue-in-cheek take on the role a creator might take in the creation of a human, and why the creator might intervene and call a stop to the work already done. Deacon and Joanne are twins who are polar opposites. One is inherently good: one inherently evil. It’s just how they were made, but does that mean they cannot take responsibility for their own actions? Or does it mean that the ultimate in omniscient narrators has to help out.

Also still available separately under previous author name, Lesley Atherton – just follow the link here – Divine Intervention

No Matter What

Jayne Smith is a ghost writer – in more ways than one.
When forced into writing a self-help book for supermodel Hawk, her life changes for the worst, but even this ghost writer will get her happy ending… It’s a perfect story for those readers who understand the writer’s need for anonynimity and alone-time. It’s also an indication that not everything you write (or read) is the truth!

Also still available separately under previous author name, Lesley Atherton – just follow the link here – No Matter What.

Changes

A single mum with a life threatening health condition.
Her desire to discover more about her past.
A grown up son who will struggle to ever live alone.
And a sister who is always there to support them.
‘Changes’ is a tale of love, pain, adoption and change.

Also still available separately under previous author name, Lesley Atherton – just follow the link here – Changes.

Walking With Eve

First published in Can’t Sleep, Won’t Sleep Volume 5. The story of two women who discover that they have more in common than previously thought! How they take a fascinating revenge on the man who wronged them both.

There aren’t many originals left now,
so buy a collector’s edition while you still can!

The Author

“I love the human condition’s simultaneous strength and frailty, as well as the innate ability we all possess to reflect on both and to thereby discover and understand more of our own personal idiosyncrasies. Art and literature grant us unbelievable vicarious pleasures and pains, and we will only grow from their appreciation.I’m a female parent, craftsperson and writer, embracing middle age and the joy that writing brings. If you enjoyed this book, you’ll find more publications available from Meredith Schumann and Scott Martin Productions on Amazon. Short stories are out of favour but, ever unfashionable, I’m championing their cause!”†
